Highlights from Sigma Euro-Med & SBC Summit Lisbon 2025
As the iGaming industry roars back to life after the summer break, the ElenPAY team has hit the ground running with a strong presence at two of the most relevant events on the calendar: SiGMA Euro-Med in Malta and the SBC Summit Lisbon 2025.
With operators, affiliates, tech providers, and payment experts gathering in full force, both events provided an invaluable platform to deepen relationships, demonstrate ElenPAY’s Bitcoin Lightning solutions, and drive forward strategic conversations around the future of crypto payments in gaming.
SiGMA Euro-Med: Malta’s iGaming DNA lives on
Although the flagship SiGMA Europe event has officially shifted to Rome for 2025, Malta still holds a unique place in the iGaming ecosystem—and that was evident at SiGMA Euro-Med. Previously hosted in Budapest, this more diverse edition brought together 12.000 delegates and a well-balanced mix of payment providers, platforms, casinos, and tech suppliers—including a noticeable rise in Asian operators entering the European scene.
Our Marketing and Sales teams represented ElenPAY on the ground, engaging in high-value conversations at the booth, through the SiGMA Match App, and during the memorable side events. While affiliate presence was more subdued compared to previous years, the event focused on generating opportunities to connect with new types of operators, innovative casino models, and a whole diversity of new technologies from around the world.
A real shift happening in the industry

SBC Summit Lisbon 2025: Bigger stage, bigger opportunities
The SBC Summit in Lisbon (September 16–18) proved once again why it’s a cornerstone of the global iGaming calendar. With over 30,000 attendees, a packed affiliate hall, and leading operators showcasing the latest in payments, platforms, and compliance, Lisbon delivered both scale and substance.

We’re also proud to share that ElenPAY was shortlisted for the SBC Awards 2025 in the ‘Payment Innovation of the Year’ category. While we didn’t take home the award this time, the nomination itself is a sign that the industry is recognizing the work we’re doing and the impact Lightning is starting to have across the iGaming value chain.
