Following a successful and enriching experience at Bet on Ceuta, ElenPAY hit the road once again to attend iGB LIVE 2025 for the event’s highly anticipated debut at ExCeL London. After last year’s successful edition in Amsterdam, we were excited to be back—this time with renewed focus, a dedicated booth, and a clear mission: to deepen our role within the European iGaming space and build new bridges with operators, platforms, and PSPs eager to explore faster, smarter crypto payments.

This year’s event marked a pivotal shift for iGB LIVE, aiming to position London as a new global hub for iGaming. For ElenPAY, it was an opportunity to connect directly with decision-makers, identify pain points around payments and compliance, and showcase the real-world benefits of Lightning Network integration.

As always, our approach wasn’t just about tech. We came to listen, to engage, and to understand the market’s evolving needs. And in a regulatory climate that’s moving quickly, we saw that message resonate more than ever.

Building trust in a rapidly evolving market

ElenPAY’s presence on the expo floor stood out not just for the tech but for the conversation it sparked. With a growing number of iGaming operators seeking compliant, frictionless payment solutions, our goal was to showcase the strategic value of Lightning Network integration and position ElenPAY as a trusted partner for the next phase of growth in high-risk payments.

Our booth became a space for real dialogue. Through dozens of one-on-one meetings and spontaneous conversations, we explored the daily challenges faced by platforms, PSPs, and online casinos, from chargebacks and processing delays to high fees and limited crypto options. What we heard confirmed a trend we’ve seen building over the past year: operators are actively seeking faster, cheaper, and more scalable crypto infrastructure, without compromising on compliance.

In addition to the buzz on the ground, ElenPAY was featured in the Payments Focus magazine—distributed throughout the event—and our General Manager, Josep León, was invited to join a special edition of the Gambling Insider Huddle, where he spoke about crypto’s evolving role in regulated iGaming markets. These moments of visibility helped reinforce our positioning: not just as a tech provider, but as a thought partner in the industry’s transformation.

Compliance took center stage once again

Across the exhibition floor and inside packed conference rooms, discussions about regulation, market integrity, and the future of safer gambling dominated the agenda. This focus strongly echoed what we saw just weeks earlier at Bet on Ceuta 2025, where compliance was equally central to the conversation. The growing complexity of regulatory frameworks requires not just adaptation, but innovation, and that’s precisely the space ElenPAY occupies.

This theme came into sharp focus during the standout panel “The Black Market Paradox: When Safer Gambling Drives Players to Riskier Shores.” Industry leaders explored how well-intentioned regulation, when unbalanced, can inadvertently push players toward unlicensed and unregulated operators. The session raised a fundamental challenge: how do we protect users without weakening the competitive position of the regulated market?

It’s a question ElenPAY is deeply committed to solving. As discussed during our joint panel at Bet on Ceuta with Marina Villalonga of Asensi Abogados, the unfair gap between licensed and offshore operators is being exacerbated by outdated payment infrastructure. Offshore sites already benefit from seamless crypto rails. Meanwhile, regulated operators often struggle to access those same tools within compliance boundaries.

Brazil’s defining year

As the largest iGaming market in the region, Brazil dominated several key sessions at iGB LIVE 2025, underscoring both its regulatory progress and its long-term potential.

In the panel “Brazil’s Regulated Market: Six Months In, How to Stand Out?”, speakers reflected on the country’s post-regulation landscape: over 290 license applications, a fast-evolving competitive environment, and growing pressure on operators to differentiate quickly.

Meanwhile, the “Brazil Operators Meeting: The Importance of a Regulated Market for Sports Integrity” roundtable brought together leaders from the public and private sectors—including Giovanni Rocco Neto, National Secretary of Sports Betting and Economic Development—to address match-fixing, market integrity, and the future of sports betting governance in the country.

What emerged was a shared message: Brazil’s iGaming future depends not just on commercial success, but on building a sustainable, trusted ecosystem. That means putting integrity, consumer protection, and economic development at the center of growth.

Crypto presence grows, even without a stage

While there were no dedicated panels on crypto or payments at iGB LIVE 2025, we noticed that crypto is gaining traction this year once again.

Compared to previous editions, there was a noticeable increase in crypto-native exhibitors, including several crypto casinos and infrastructure providers. For ElenPAY, this growing presence reflects a critical shift, showing that crypto is no longer viewed as a fringe payment option but as a legitimate lever for competitive advantage.

What stood out most was the rising curiosity around Lightning Network. More attendees came to our booth with questions about instant settlement, scalability, and fraud prevention, evidence that market education is working, and appetite is building. For many, this was their first hands-on exposure to how Lightning can solve longstanding iGaming pain points.

Even without a formal platform on the conference agenda, crypto had a real, tangible presence, and ElenPAY was right at the center of those conversations.

Momentum for what’s next

iGB LIVE 2025 marked a turning point for the event, for the iGaming industry, and for ElenPAY. With more regulated operators actively seeking faster, more secure, and more compliant payment options, the relevance of Lightning-powered infrastructure has never been clearer.

We’re very pleased with how strongly our message resonated across the industry: crypto isn’t just a trend—it’s a real solution to persistent pain points, fully aligned with the regulatory priorities shaping iGaming today.
